Everything you need to help you progress through your roller derby minimum skills assessment, in a handy tick list.
This app lists every skill you need, along with helpful tips on how you can improve and master each one. Track your progress using progress bars to show you how close you are to completion.
Based on the 2013 WFTDA Minimum Skills Requirements, the app breaks all you need to know down into the following categories:
- Basic skills
- How many laps you can do in 5 minutes (built in pace timer!)
- Recovery
- Balance & Agility
- Pack skills
- Blocking
Theres also a category for Rules; as part of your Minimum Skills youll need to do a written rules test.
You can track the progress of multiple skaters too, with the League Assessment feature.

Lap section not working properly
Within the lap pace both section wheels dont except any input on iOS 9
Decent
Worth the money if youre serious about doing Minimum Skills assessments accurately and even frequently.
I do love this app but... Needs work.
The lap section DOES NOT WORK. I have deleted and reinstalled- I also have a new iPhone and it still does not work.
I like having a personal list of what I need to work on but its only good if the WHOLE app is functional.
Just What I Was Looking For
I wondered what was in the App Store for skating/derby & came across this little gem. As a complete beginner, this is perfect. A concise gathering of all of the information I really need at this point. Im not sure how much experienced skaters would get out of it, but if you are derby curious/hopeful, this looks like a great app to get started with.
I havent used it all that much yet, but it has a simple & streamlined interface and so far is completely stable.
Nice
I wish I had this app when I first started derby. Using it to track area I need to work on
